| ABOUT: What is College? College is no more than people getting together discussing issues, sharing information and cross-referencing data that will make us all stronger and better people for ourselves and each other and most importantly our posterity. We have college by various mechanisms including phones, in person or even through chat and emails. Here, at the College of Mysteries & Understanding, we began about two years ago (July 2009) with a few friends with very little structure. More structure has been added since then and we have become more formal as the groups began to grow. The way classes work is by professional phone conference services. We give you a telephone number to call with conference access codes and you are then plugged into the conference where we all discuss the subject matter. This structure is better than any correspondence course, and in some respects, a superior option to physical in-class venues because all students get to speak with one another and share their great insights live in the comfort of their own dwelling. MISSION: The mission of the College of Mysteries & Understanding is to stimulate a deeper and extensive cultural awareness amongst class members. With delight, CMU welcomes all Black people. However, class members should be mindful that our primary research, investigations, archives, database--as well as our core curriculum--revolve exclusively around the global Black woman and her correlatives including her intelligence, beauty and sophistication. COURSES and SCHEDULES: Each of our courses extend for approximately three months (a semester). Some classes are conducted twice a week, an hour each day and others one day for two hours. If any class member should have a super busy life we offer flexible weekend, morning and evening schedules. We discuss all subjects in this college. As we are all students, we have an obligation to know truth, speak truth and learn truth regardless to where it takes us. Because all courses are different and may well become more complex with the achievement of each degree, it is highly recommended that class members sign up for no more than two courses at any one semester. CLASS SIZE and DEMOGRAPHICS: Because we are a virtual college, we can accompany class members in full classes of up to 100 or more. However, because we know the importance of conveying data in the unique way of our ancestors, we choose to maintain very small class sizes with no more than 10 class members studying in each course. Age group range from about 22 through 60s with more Black female class members than Black males. ATTENDANCE: We all have unforeseen circumstances that may visit us. Outside the realm of those circumstances, class members are expected to attend each class in order to be successful in this venue. Respectful disagreements do and will emerge; but at all times, with all class members in all situations, on any subject, on any day, or, at any time, we always respect our Sistahs and Brothas. Our academic disagreements are settled by discussion and is never confrontational. That is why we can boast of having the very rare pleasure of being able to host a distinctive student body whose break-through, intellectual achievements parallel the summit of their Old World ancestors. DEGREE ACHIEVEMENTS: The College of Mysteries & Understanding awards degrees to its class members after the successful completion of each course. Your degree will reflect the number of successful levels you have mastered. There are 7 levels to complete your unique and distinctive status of a M7. We project that the complete line of courses can be completed within 1 year and a half. WHAT IS M7 AND WHAT IS ITS WORTH IN THE WORLD? Conventional education is something to be proud of. However, beyond generalities, the traditional liberal arts educational institutions are not designed to teach one the cultural specifics, oriented details and modalities of one's ethnic group. CMU responds to that need by teaching the beauties and refinements of Black people in general and of Black women in particular. This is how we do it. M7 is the highest level a class member can accomplish. The value of "M" shows you are the Masters. The number 7 indicates the numerical level of subject difficulty you have met, challenged and successfully overcome. Upon the completion of M7 you are qualified--at least-- to instruct, with proficiency, those subjects you have learned in the college. One of the primary benefits you will gain is the mastery of data concerning ancient Kemet. In addition, besides the personal satisfaction you will possess with your specialized knowledge, you also have the ability to understand many subjects outside the circumference of Kemet adding to the powers of reasoning not normally taught in traditional colleges and university settings. Even more beneficial is you will have acquired a better appreciation of the unspoken legacy of Black women which is a shining intellectual gem in and of itself. For all those reasons, as a M7 Graduate, you will not only learn, you will see while being able to apply most of what you acquire to your experiences even before you get to M7. Your life changes at M1. ADMISSIONS: Besides this college catering to Black class members, the only other requirement is that one be prepared to take their intellects and powers of research to advanced stages. Commitment is a must. VIRTUAL OFFICE HOURS: If the need arises that class members need to discuss course materials outside the classroom, please set up appointment at: office@blackwomanisgod.com PRIVACY POLICY: We do not require or ask any personal information about class members. COSTS: Due to materials, phone equipment, extensive preparations for quality courses etc., there is requested a small fee (donation) for the classes. Each 3 month course is only $85.00. ALL FEES DUE BY MONDAY, AUGUST 22, 2011. PLEASE KNOW THAT SEATS ARE LIMITED AND FOR THAT REASON THE LATER PAYMENT IS RECEIVED THE HIGHER CHANCE YOU MAY NOT GET IN THIS SEMESTER. INSTRUCTORS: There will be many times guest speakers and lecturers will be invited to join some classes. At this time we have Naj Kamau as our primary instructor. His background: Naj Kamau, affectionately known as Brotha Naj, is a research specialist, political scientist and herstorian. He has been fortunate to have earned several degrees including his Associates in Criminal Justice which he received from a local St. Louis community college. Brotha Naj then transferred to the University of Missouri-St. Louis where he was awarded his Bachelor's Degree in Criminology/Criminial Justice with a minor in Sociology. While at the university he served as one of the leading mentors for incoming Black students. In addition to his 17 years of committed study and research, he has experience as a legal researcher, campaign manager and working a short time as a Probation and Parole Officer. Later, at Webster University in St. Louis, Brotha Naj was granted his Masters' Degree in International Relations where he wrote his published master-thesis on the intersection between global conflict and metaphysics. Having traveled to countries like Ghana and Kemet (ancient Egypt), he is more convinced in his research that the core of any curriculum for Black people must be the Black woman. Bro Naj has written for a number of progressive on-line sites. Additionally, this year in 2011, one of the prestigious on-line fashion magazines BrownSista.com recently invited him to be a regular contributor. He is the author of two published books and a soon to be released novella in 2011. His first book is an in-depth study entitled Orhemah: A Cosmic Study in her Seduction her Mysteries her Resurrection. (2009; self-published). In this study it is demonstrated in 751 pages, and over several hundred sources and references including original never before seen photos, that the original landscape of ancient Kemet consisted of only Black women. In his second book, 5 Arguments Why Black Women Should be Worshipped: A Short Study in Beauty & Grace (2010) it is shown through 5 reasonable arguments why Black women should be worshipped and proof that she is the ultimate survivor. His third book is a novella. It is set to be released in the fall of 2011 and will chronicle an interesting journey to alternative dimensions in which the mission is made possible by the majestic structure of the Black woman's body. The title of the novella is Black Women: Ma'Stars of the Universe. LOCATION: Naj and his wife Maisha were both born, raised and currently live in St. Louis, Missouri. |
